    Hey ECC,
    Today I was playing and I noticed that there were a ton of builder jokes, put downs, etc. So it made me think to back when I was a builder. I remember it took me a long time to get Resident and then Mayor (which I currently am). So back to me being a builder. I remember begging for money (which I no longer do) and I hated doing it because I knew it ticked people off. So what is this thread is about? It's about a new non-profitable organization that I have started called Builder Right Association. What I will be doing is creating fun raisers such as (snipe, spleef, pvp etc.) To raise money to donate to Builder who would like to become Residents. At the moment I have no staff (other than myself) but if you would like to help in any way pm me in-game or tell me on this thread. Also, if you would like to donate to the charity pm me in-game or tell on this thread how much you would like to donate.

    NEW! I thought of this great idea where I could hire "teachers" to help Builder learn essential commands and ways to make money etc. Tell me if you would like to be a teacher.

    NOTE: We do not pay staff. All staff that we have will be volunteers.

    Its not hard to get money. There is no reason to give them money so they can become a resident. If they would just go out and mine for a few hours, they could easily make 15k. Its just a matter of getting up and working for it.

    Most builders can't go mining though because they don't have the tools or space. We wouldn't necessarily give them 15k just maybe 5k just to get them motivated.

    I think that buying a Builder the rank of Resident defeats the point of becoming a Resident. Those that go through the process of becoming a Resident learn the basics of how the server works. How to earn money, how to use trade chat etc. By buying them Resident they are losing out, they are expected to know what to do, and they have no idea how to earn money. People that are bought Resident end up having people buy them mayor in return for their town, and most of these people won't get President, as well why would someone pay you 180k for your town when they can pay less.

    Like I said before, we would necessarily be giving them 15k maybe just 5-7k to buy some land and tools. This money would just be to get them motivated and on the road to becoming a Resident.

    I agree helping them out with a plot, free e-repairs, tools, etc; but I don't think it's necessary to pay them.

    I think they should earn their own money. If they can't earn the money to become a resident or a mayor, do they deserve to be a resident or mayor? Besides, with voting, they can become a resident in 13 days without doing a single thing in game. In other words, I would not support this program under any circumstances.

    Edit: While I wouldn't give anyone money, I see you have staff positions available for teachers.
    I would be willing to tell builders how to earn money, just not earning the money for them.
