Minecraft Username: thehockeykids2 Brief Description: after changing a sky farm floor from soulsand to dirt next to a line of water (no souce blocks left) the water goes down a couple blocks, then stops and floats there without a single source block. I used no sponge. Any other water placed/removed from the farn/anywhere else works fine Instructions: You probaly wont be able to reproduce but, make a line of 200X1 water, break a line of blocks next to it, then replace it with another block. How many times did you recreate this bug?: twice (link to first time) The picture in this link might also be of interest --> http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/fixed-thanks-ryanjf1.36740/ Result: the water floats without a source block Expected Result: the water slowly drains down Evidence: View From bottom View from the top Closer view of water Farm where the water came from Other:I tped jets there. To get there, do /warp mineyork, and fly up and out of the glass roof. (there should be a hole or two, if not /thru)
Hello, I have had this happen to me multiple times on single player builds, and have seen this as well from some youtube video. Make sure that there are not any source blocks below where the highest source block is. Water will usually stop draining after it hits another source. Zedoker
So, i took your advice, and just as you said, i found a source block and clogged it up. Do you now if this is a mojang coding issue or if was the way I broke the blocks? Also, is there anyway to avoid it? Thanks a ton though zek. *hugs zedoker*
Update, the one source block i found didn't take out much, this is how the water reacted, and i guess new sourceblocks formed? Proof of their being only 1 source block What happened after I removed the source block
Hmm, i honestly have no clue then, i think it might be something with mojang, you might just need to manually clean it up
From what you've shown me hockey, I'm thinking that the water is forming new source blocks somehow, due to the entire water wall being out of render distance from any one point. Hope this shines some light on the subject.
because of new water physics it's possible your little water wall created new sourceblocks. Just keep removing them.
