I don't see why not. It has been there for a while. Since it is lava, the item would get destroyed anyway unless you want to take the item to clear the area of all the lava. This is in no way x-raying; it is just clear lava. The diamonds are under the lava.

I use Optifine since I got pyro+ specifically FOR this (the same as seeing longer distances while under water as well).

With water or just a stack of gravel you can easily farm the ores below the lava. Go up to it, build around it with gravel to delete the lava, leave a 1 block wide wall to hold back the lava, then dig in and get your treasure.

X-ray allows you to see "through" walls. Seeing through a liquid to me just doesn't seem like the same thing, and were only really talking about those with Pryo+ since everyone else would probably die trying this with Optifine.

Also if you disable Optifine, with pyro+ you can still swim up close and see the ores, you just have to be 2 blocks away to tell.

I can't really see us "not" allowing Optifine, but I will wait to see what an even higher power has to say on this.

Btw as a side not just to iOrbit and the video.

If you leave water flowing from above, then break obby or whatever. The water will flow in and make more obby/cobble usually before the mined block hits the lava and is incinerated.

This way your not wasting blocks as much just to get below the lava.

You probably knew this, but you didn't do it in your video so I wanted to point it out.
