This is actually cool though, now it's more fun and you can hunt down mobs. Makes it more like survival than what it was before. Though I'm sure this'll be fixed
This is definitely some thing I think you guys should make an announcement about. People are afk'ing in their homes and vaults and almost dying losing very valuable tools. I had no idea until I saw one today, but the mods already were aware of the situation. Definitely something everyone should know about right now. Just to be on the safe side.
Well that's why when you go afk you don't do it in the open. Box yourself up in a little square and pop a torch down on the ground inside of your little box and you'll be safe. Nobody can alter it except you, it's best to use obsidian for this so if a creeper decides to drop by and blow up it won't destroy your little box. You can also lock the obsidian so nobody can break your blocks.
Yeah but not everybody is going to do that, and someone in chat today said they were inside their vault. It's just something that would be good to announce
The bug fix itself shouldn't be too hard. They just need to add the new mob names to the list or something.
Zombies seem to have stopped spawning but idk about other mobs yet (husks, strays, wither skeles etc).
Are you certain they are fresh spawns? The issue from what I can tell has been completely fixed, however the mobs that have previously spawned during the time of this bug will remain there if the chunks are unloaded, and then reloaded during night time. If you catch one however during the night in for example a closed off area, that you know for a fact is a *fresh* spawn do let us know.
