Minecraft Username: wenxuan100 Brief Description: I can shoot myself with a bow in mining, and when I shoot at other people @xX3PICREBELXx it hits me, and shows "sorry, but you can't pvp here", but it does not show that It reflects back, and I don't think it is supposed to either. Instructions: 1. Shoot the bow straight up, at low power 2. Try to make it land on you 3. It will hit you, and do damage. 1. Shoot at another person 2. Wait 3. You will be knocked to the side, and if your bow has flame, you will see that you catch on fire. How many times did you recreate this bug?: I tried both five times. First one: 5 / 5 Second one: 4 /5, although I could have missed. Result: I was hit with the arrow I shot. The arrow disappeared and I was knocked to the side and lost a heart or two, and the messages "Sorry, but you can't pvp here" Expected Result: The arrow either disappeared, hit the wall, or returns to my inventory for both. Evidence: @xX3PICREBELXx
To expand on what wenxuan was saying, I was stood roughly 5-6 blocks away from him and when he fired a flame bow at me it set him on fire and not me. Fortunately, it not setting me on fire means that the plugin is working correctly but it does ask the question why he is being set on fire.
I took damage and was knocked to the side too, meaning that the arrow hit me instead of him. And if you say the arrow was reflected, I was knocked to the RIGHT, and not backwards, so I don't understand.
Hmmm, this is not "normal". Maybe what's going on is that the arrow is trying to hit whatever has a hitbox closest to it, as it hit something that was meant to have a hitbox but got blocked, which may not be compatible with its mechanics...
This is quite close, basically, the arrow shooting out of you, hits the arrow stuck in you, therefore hitting you first.
I could make more tests on this @wenxuan100 ,and @JamieSinn , could this be fixed, or does Mojang's programming/ etc. counter fixing it?
