Minecraft Username: Expipiplusone Brief Description: Tombstone feature doesn't work inside events plots, even when the user has got the permissions for that plot Instructions: get the tombstone feature get assigned to a plot in eventsXX (without being added to the macro-region "eccevents") die run like a chetahh to go retrieving your unprotected items before they get picked by some lucky passer-by How many times did you recreate this bug?: Once, in the region "events14" Result: My tombstone wasn't spawned and my items were dropped all around Expected Result: My tombstone should have spawned, as I had the permissions for that region Evidence: It just happened, but I wasn't recording. Additional information: My guess is that it happened because the whole plot belongs to 2 different regions ("eccevents" and "events14"): at the time it happened, I was a member of the last one, but not of the first one. I don't know if this can be easily fixed without making a mess with region permissions and I do understnd that tombstones can spawn only where the user has permissions for a reason (to prevent trolls from tombstone-spamming every region, I guess), but it is already possible to spam-die in the town you live in. So: why not just remove this limit? Tombstone-spammers could just have their feature taken away, as it has been already stated for other features.
This may be due to the fact that those plots are child regions to the parent town and you only have access to the plot, and not the parent region. @jakeyray18
I guess you have fixed this, because I just tested it inside and outside my events plot: it works inside, and doesn't work outside, as expected. Still, I think that allowing tombstones even in regions where one is not allowed to place blocks might be a good idea: maybe it could be the perk of a new tombstone++ upgrade? But I don't know if there are serious technical reasons or security concerns against this. Should I file a suggestion, or it's just not doable?
-> Feature abuse -> Feature taken away? I guess it would depend on whether the chest is removed automatically after receiving your items so you don't need perms to remove it. IDK whether this already happens, don't have the feature.
I have the feature and I can confirm that the chest is automatically removed once you retrieve all your stuff. Moreover, if you don't retrieve it yourself, it expires in, like, 2 days or so. So I don't think trolling would be a big issue (and, as we both suggested, feature abuse -> feature taken away, as already happens for other features).
Last time I tested it inside an events plot I was assigned to, it worked (can't test it now, as I'm not assigned to any events plot). but I just tested it in the eccevents macroregion: it doesn't work (please don't ask me to post a video ).
Tested just now, I could successfully spawn a chest in a sub region that I was member of, as well as a separate test of where I was owner. Fixed.
