Brief Description: Deeps slate cobble stone mines at a eff5 rate using a magic 3 pick axe.
tuff, cobble seems to be okay. Using the super breaker mines at the magic three speed when mining deep slate.

Instructions: go to deep slate to see if a lvl 3 pick does the same.

How many times did you recreate this?: for at least three days

Result: mining at a eff 5 rate using a lvl3 magic pick.

    Expected Result: no slow mining.

star pickaxe seems to be faster - magic pickaxe has delay/less effective

Magic Pickaxes should instabreak Deepslate when mining.

I recorded a video comparing several different pickaxes to gauge the difference here.
Mythic L3 Magic Pick, Magic Pick L3, Eff5 Diamond Pickaxe, Eff7 Diamond Pickaxe and plain Diamond Pickaxe

With a magic pickaxe, some of the blocks instantly mine but it seems inconsistent rather than every block.
Feels comparable to eff5/eff7 rather than faster than.
