Look at head produced to see if it matches your skin How many times did you recreate this bug?: I did not recreate it, because it would cost me $10,000 per effort. I placed the head to check and make sure it wasn't a glitch in how inventory is viewed, and it placed as Steve. I then went to pick it up and accidentally destroyed it, because I'm inept. I meant to produce screenshots after I picked it up, but ... no more Steve head. @Nicit6 recreated it (see below) Result: Steve head Expected Result: JMichael214 head. I have had the same skin for years. Evidence: Hrm. Sorry about that. I'm not dedicated enough to spend $10,000 more producing evidence, but I still wanted to let you know about it. Skulls have been bugging out quite a bit recently. @Ladyvamptress and someone else head turned back to their old skin, ladys was a skin from quite a while ago. Her head at the museum which hadn't moved for about 6 months had also changed and a few weeks ago they automatically changed back. You usually can place and break them to make them not steve heads, but could be the 1.12 update i guess bugging it out =[
This happened before the update. I had a Domo skin with pink hair, back 2.5 years ago. I have since changed my skin several times to match holidays and now have a skin I wear in the winter (pink panda that's on my spawn statues) and my summer skin (shorts with a pink striped shirt). I have noticed my head will auto change back to the domo skin and I do not have to break my skull or anything, it does it on its own and then after a couple days it will go back to the winter pink panda skin, even tho that isn't the skin I've been wearing for the last month or so. Again, this all happened before the 1.12 update.
It looks fixed, but I need to give it time to see if it changes. It isn't showing my current skin that I've had on for the last month or so, it's stuck on the previous skin, even if I. Real it and replace it. @Mission001 said earlier that he was seeing a different skin on my head than I was when we were on together.
I dunno i swear all heads are bugged xD Im not that fussed, afterall i'd rather you keep the plugin xD
Probably Jamie. Maybe the plug in can be updated? If this helps, my head was the blue haired one that Mission showed you this morning, for me. Now it's changed, for me, back to the panda skin that I'm not currently using. Like Mission, I'm not fussed about it, it's still my head and it's named... which is why we never bothered to report the issue when we first noticed it. Kinda knew you guys had a lot on your plate. Just posting to try and help out.
I can report that my original issue with the Steve head is 95 percent resolved, and the 5 percent that isn't might not matter. I did /skull just now, and in my inventory appeared a Steve head named "skull of JMichael214" twice. However, when I placed it on a wall, it placed as my current and always Indiana Jones skin. When I removed it (without destroying this one) it dropped as the Indiana Jones head, and it is in my inventory now as the right head. Of course, this begs the question -- if I had not accidentally destroyed the first one, would it have dropped as the Indiana Jones head, too? No way to know, because I'm inept. At any rate, I don't seem to have my original problem any more. The previous Steve head placed as Steve, this one placed as me, and dropped as me. It only started out as Steve.
We can't change anything as there isn't any "Plugin" that we use for it. /skull is a command in essentials, and simply spawns a skull. Once that happens, nothing is changed/managed by plugins.
Ye this happens all the time to me. There are a bunch of steve heads and my Frostystorm skull changes between old and new skins all the time lol. Rip /skull you will be missed
