Minecraft Username: Crezarius Brief Description: When I go to purchase an item, I can fill my inventory completely but still continue to buy. The items are removed from the sign, my money is removed and added to the sign but the blocks vanish as Im not reciving a full inventory msg. I've lost some money from this but kinda got use to it Then just now I did what I normally do to grab the right stock amount from a sign of mine. I wanted a stack of diamond blocks and my sign had 77 in my store. I filled my inventory to all but one empty space. Smash the sign and 64 blocks appear, 13 vanish and my sign is gone from the wall. This is what inspired me to not be lazy and file a report. That and when I asked KMaxwell she found the same issues so more people are having this problem and not just me. Instructions: 1. Fill inventory 2. Buy something OR smash a sign of yours that has items on it and watch them vanish. How many times did you recreate this bug?: Dozens of times when buying items from other shops to stock my own when not paying attention and also a couple times through the smashing sign method. Result: My items vanished. I also want to add, in no way do I expect to be compensated for anything like my diamond blocks. They are gone, I know. I can handle the loses. Expected Result: I expect a message to report that my inventory is full and to not lose items. Evidence: Edit - Added screenshots as best I could I'd also edit my title but I don't think I can. It should be receiving not received.
I had the same issue last night, only with a sign of nametags. 68 in the sign, one inventory space available, thus 4 should have remained in the sign. The result was that the sign was fully broken, 64 nametags made it to my inventory, the other four vanished in to a never to be seen again void. However, the same kind of procedure did NOT affect my removing only a specific number from my armor signs... perhaps the bug is limited to stackable items only? Like Crez noted above, I don't think screenshots are really viable for reproducing, and I will video cap also if needed.
I unfortunately just did it holding a quartz block in my offhand. I can post a series of screens with stuff in my offhand too if needed. I really hoped it would be that simple for me.
As long as you're not holding less than a stack of the item in the sign in your off hand, it should work. Try it with something unsellable and unstackable and just keep it in the slot at all times.
