Same on main east, my only guess is this has to do with mob stacking going past 500. After they stack past 500 the game seems to auto butcher them either every ten seconds or altogether, never letting them stack at all.
In my case they disappear before even stacking (so there is no polar bears at all, they just spawn and despawn)

Mob spawning is still disabled on MN (rising and Mining), this is spawning via eggs and mob spawners. This accounts for both passive, aggressive and neutral mobs, spawning on M and ME is working as intended. /tppos -3376 67 452 /tppos -3343 64 444
