Minecraft Username: @ChargerBoltz5 Brief Description: I am unable to put mob eggs in trade signs Instructions: Create a trade sign, or try to put mob eggs in an already-created sign. Watch how it doesn't work. How many times did you recreate this bug?: 2. The other day, I tried to create a sign to hold sheep eggs, and even using the numerical data value did not work for me. Today, I tried to put a pig egg in a sign that was already created, but the egg wouldn't go in. From what I can tell, it is as if the aliases for all the eggs were removed. Result: Egg does not go in sign. Expected Result: Egg goes in sign. Evidence:
In 1.8, spawn eggs used to have meta-IDs to indicate the type of mob. If you use F3+H, you will notice that all eggs still have the ID 383 - but their meta-ID is missing; the animal type is now stored via NBT data. NBT data is also the data that stores tool enchantments, custom item names, and more - Essentials trade signs do not accept NBT data. I wouldn't classify it as intended behaviour, but possibly as expected behaviour.
Yeah, I saw the 383:0 ID with both the pig egg and the sheep egg, and that's what I figured was the issue. Was this an intentional ID change by Mojang with 1.9, or something they plan to fix?
I recommend using auction for those, or perhaps waiting to see "IF" we add an additional trading plugin (or enhance our current trade signs - which is unlikely).
