Minecraft Username: @eekelmo and @7amoodw Brief Description: I was clearing out some chests in my town and was able to break a chest that was unlocked, but had a locked sign placed on it, therefore breaking the locked sign (Locked by @THCOOL). @7amoodw and I then tested this to confirm by placing down a chest with a sign on it, having me lock the sign and then seeing if @7amoodw could destroy the chest along with the locked sign, he could. We tried to see if this worked with non-chest blocks, and we were able to destroy the following blocks with locked signs on them: - doors Instructions: Place down a chest/door Using shift + right click, place a sign on them. Lock the sign. Have another user break the block the sign is attached to. They will be able to break the block AND the sign. How many times did you recreate this bug?: Around seven times or so. Result: We could break blocks with locked signs on them. The lock from the sign didn't spread to its 'host block'. Expected Result: The lock from the sign should spread to the 'host block' and it shouldn't be able to be destroyed by anyone except for the block owner. Evidence: The locked sign on the unlocked chest. I'm the only one with perms to the locked sign. @7amoodw goes to work... Logblock of the sign. Logblock of the chest.
Does this work on non chest blocks? I'm thinking that it's not possible to expand and protect a chest as that would count as 2 protections, but only one 1 lock, messing up climits.
From memory 7am and I tested this with fences, fence gates, furnaces and dirt. The only block we managed to reproduce the bug with were doors.
