Am I right in assuming that you went into sg with the pickaxe in your inventory? If so, this is a risk that you take entering sg with anything in your inventory. This is why there are warnings in front of the sg boards and enderchests there for you to store your belongings. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to return lost items, other than strongly advise that next time you have an empty inventory when entering sg arenas.
