Minecraft Username: ItProSlayerz Brief Description: I was buying Unbreaking III enchantments for my armor from @Pker8556 today for 7.5k (6/6/15) and everything went well, he enchanted the armor, I payed the 7.5k on my end, and that's where everything went wrong. Pker8556 dropped the 3 pieces of armor I had asked to be enchanted on the stairs by accident, I was able to catch the helmet and leggings on time, but the chestplate was lost to the stairs, most likely butchered. Instructions: Drop items on stairs (they're evil I tell you, EVIL!). How many times did you recreate this bug?: I tried recreating this bug multiple times at different angles, but the items I dropped did not disappear this time, most likely the armor got butchered like I had stated in the "Brief Description". Result: The armor upon getting dropped on the stairs, bounced like they commonly do, and I was able to grab the helmet and leggings, but the chestplate just mysteriously disappeared. Expected Result: I was suppose to be able to pick up all 3 armor pieces, and be done with the trade. Evidence: I at the time, did NOT actually take any screenshots of the transaction, but I do have my trading partner (@Pker8556) to confirm the bug. Side Note: The chestplate that disappeared DOES have "/own" by me on it, if that helps.
We suggest using chests for item trading as the butcher can occasionally grab items. Do you have the item ID# of the chestplate, by any chance?
So N6, even if we "own" the tool, we still have to provide the ID# if there is a problem? Also, I thought Andrew recently stated that butcher does not work in either Rising or Legacy - is that not correct?
^^ Yes, since the ID is needed for log investigation. I recommend to either write down the IDs or create signs with them.
Even if I don't have the item ID# for the log investigation, is the staff team still ABLE to track down my armor chestplate, or am I completely screwed over and out of luck?
Thank you for that quick response 314 - I do not ever remember reading that in the information that Jamie sent out, and I am not sure if it is on the Wiki or not, but it would be great if it could be added to both if not as I personally thought I was safe just using the /own command. It is tough to find out that this is not the case at all and I am sorry it had to happen to someone else, but glad to know it now. @ItProSlayerz - I will personally give you an enchanted 3 chestplate to replace this one - so just catch me in game - sometimes I am in /v so leave me an in game mail and I will get one to you as soon as I find one.
I would GREATLY appreciate that @AdmiralD! The chestplate that I had didn't just have Unbreaking III, it also had Protection IV on it, so if that's not too much to ask, I would greatly accept your gift!
Admiral hmu if you dont have enough xp to make it. I'm sitting on 50k+ xp right now. and it isn't necessarily my fault but i'd still like to help him out for all that happened.
That is very nice of you to offer, however, I have already given him the chestplate. I only asked that if his was ever found or returned that he return mine since it was the only Prot4 I could find.
