Some browsers have issues like that. My browser does something like what happened to you every once in a while.
I would like to also note that the forum is currently outdated, and over time things are getting wonky (even on browsers other than FireFox). Andrew said (here: http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/bug-report-forum-editing-posts-threads.67178/#post-321783) that the forums will update in a little while.
