AdmiralD Fishing Tables and Towers do not work Walk into tower or up to table and attempt to fish - They do not work Several Tower - Lure will not even reach the water Table - Lure never shows catch although sometimes does. I want to catch fish
Fishing towers had to be lowered by a few blocks after the 1.11 release because the range of casting a rod upwards decreased - is it an old tower, or did that happen again?
Old tower - just old man here that has been somewhat inactive Do you have a drawing of a working one or perhaps know of a working one on ECC that I may be able to look at?
normal fishing towers no longer work. I designed a new type that does work. It takes up a bit more horizontal space, but it's reliable just like my fishing tower design was before 1.11 You stand in the little area where there's no water above you, and then aim straight up. I don't have a warp or something, but I have a home there called "fishingtower" and I give any mod permission to teleport you there if you want to take a good look at it. Alternatively it's in the town "lucus" in Legacy if anyone has tppos. you can get the coordinates from /rg i
Thank you so much for this kuke! I have tppos and so will check it out as soon as I get home and get in game tonight. As always, your contributions to the server are appreciated.
The problem with fishing "naturally" is that it's near to impossible to do it on a server on the other side of the globe, due to lag and the precise timing needed to catch the fish when the bobber sinks (unless this was somehow fixed in a recent update and I missed it).
Can't make a copy right now, I saved a home there to check it later if you don't mind (how long will it be there?) I see it's much more complex than older designs, why so? I've always been curious on fishing mechanics, but never had a chance to delve into the subject.
It will stay there forever probably, I don't do much with towns. It's more complex because the fishing rod doesn't throw straight up any more, and the distance at which it throws isn't always the same. The previous design worked due to the fact that your bobber always went straight up, and always the same exact distance. With those 2 things changed it needed a new design. What I did was use extra water to make sure the bobber doesn't fly off into space. It slows the bobber down and the bobber then floats up in the water, and then I use water currents to get the bobber in a spot where the water is thin enough to allow the bobber to fall through it when a fish is caught.
Well designed, making copy now! Almost wish I didn't sell my star rod now seriously though thanks kuke!
