Minecraft Username: Nate1450 Brief Description: I can not combine a book with any sort of armor/sword. The objects I use are not owned, and I am not shift clicking. However, I still get the error message that "This movement method is blocked, please click and drag' Instructions: 1. Put a sword/armor object and book in an anvil. 2. Try to get the combined item How many times did you recreate this bug?: 3 different times. Result: The items drop out of my inventory, and I get the error message. Expected Result: I get the item. Evidence: N/A - If needed I can collect them.
I have had no issues combining a protection 1 book and an iron chestplate. You need the armor in the 1st slot, book in 2nd, not the other way around.
I just tested a stone sword, and bane of arthropods 1, got the same error. I am going to test armor now. EDIT: Armor works now
I'm not sure whether you modified anything within the last few months, but the last time I checked the "normal" way of combining was randomly blocked with a chance of 20-30%.
"randomly blocked" doesn't sound right. Like I said in my previous post, it probably has to do with dragging. If you move your mouse a little bit when you click on the slot then it counts as dragging.
I assumed that before I started testing and thus ensured that I was holding my mouse in the air, unable to react to any movement. I basically excluded the dragging and it was still occurring with a chance of 20-30%, that's why I'm wondering about it. Rule of thumb concerning /own and anvils: If it is blocked, I am at least partially responsible.
