Being the one who caused all of this anvil chaos... this is a security addition to fix... stuff. Also, it would basically make a tool vanish from the logs since its ID lore would be overwritten with the one from slot 1.
I had this same issue, except on the tenth-twelfth try, the tool disappeared. Just my luck, for being so stubborn with it! I have no idea what I'm talking about, but: I'd be willing to chalk it down to the Butcher. Might it be worth it to make a separate big report for this?
