Minecraft Name: Xboyfernz Suggestion: Implement a kind of blocker and blacklist some words in vmr Reason: Not many moderators are in vmr and probably don't want to be in vmr all the time just moderating so putting this in will make the server a nice place for both vmr and main. Other Information: I'm suggesting this because someone started spamming rude words and I had to call a mod in he would have kept on saying it and get away with it if I didn't call mods. Link to this plugin/Is this a custom addition?:
They would still have to change servers to moderate it effectively. Not to mention, why make it easier to enforce a rule when we can simply avoid the rule being broken
Chat filters never work right i have never had one that didnt glitch or screw up constantly. So unless jamie is willing to waste time on something like this -1.
Scunthorpe problem! If you are setting up something that blocks, say, the word "balls" you'll want to block "ball s" as it is a bypass. Then, if someone says "Want to play footBALL Smithysailor?" it gets filterex. Too much work to have a filter.
I agree with this, its impossible for a filter to be effective at directly blocking the offending words without having some sort of overlap. If you want to know more Tom Scott has a great video on it.
Except you don't need to block everything. I see no reason to block obvious bypasses since we're still going to have moderators around. So what that people might bypass, just ban them and be done with it. Any bypass rules out any of the current exceptions we have to the rule (slip ups or whatever)
Yes and no. We can make it so the moderators can see VMR chat but they would still need to jump servers to moderate it. A needless process every time someone swears really.
could we have a plugin where if a staff sees something in vmr they can send an alert/message to the vmr chat by doing a command
