---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So As most of you know people are getting smarter and are finding out knew ways to make more and more money in ecocitycraft and people have went to the extent of duping and x-raying well 1 of them is duping and people are doing this to gain more and more items that they will sell to make money. If you think someone is duping report them to the staff as soon as possible. REPORT THEM! Failing to report possible duping and getting your hands on them could lead to possible bans, , or other punishments. "But how will we know if the items were duped?" This is a good question and the answer is "research". ---------------------------------------------------------------------If someone is selling aLARGEamount of items that are the same type, please report this to a staff memberASAP. This especially includes diamonds! -Check a person's history with others see if they are using the market for a steady flow or have a sudden spike in activity of selling an item. -If you find stacks upon stacks of ore related items of high value just sitting in the middle of nowhere or dropped from another player. Don't keep them they could be duped the you get in trouble. -If the player isn't well known, take extra precaution and purchase/trade carefully. -------------------------------------------------------------------- To report possible dupers,all you need to do is send in a complaint on who is possibly duping or where the items are. You maybe asked additional questions if needed, but filing a report will help staff crack down. Last but not least,DO NOT BUY SUSPICIOUS ITEMS. If you wish to purchase a high volume of diamonds from another player and you have ANY doubt of how they got all of them CONTACT a staff member first to investigate before making the purchase. I cannot stress this enough, please do not feed dupers. Remember,any transaction you make with them puts you in the spotlight. Do not get involved with duping AT ALL!--------------------------------------------------------------------
While we appreciate the information, most users have no idea if an item is duplicated or not. Depending on the situation, users will not be punished for buying duplicated items due to their lack of knowledge of where it came from. Duplications should always be reported to the administration. In serious cases, the server will be roll'dback and the user(s) in question will be banned/ punished.
Um...duping is not a large problem on ECC? I mean, some people have enough diamonds to fill a whole chest (ask sitomo, he has like a few stacks of diamond blocks). There have been thousands of people on ECC collecting stuff. Go to your singleplayer and multiply every item by 10 thousand and tell me if it looks like someone duped
I disagree. I've been collecting armor and tools for months. If I came out and sold 5 of my Eff5 Unbr3 For3 picks, it is not because they were duped. I've just been collecting for a long time
I love your enthusiasm , but it's a bit misplaced. There are 3,515,625 million chunks on the mainworld. In those chunks there are roughly 10,887,891 diamond ores. Assuming that only 1 diamond is obtained from each ore, that's 1,209,765 BLOCKS of diamond. That's enough diamond blocks to fill 30 200x200 towns with a flat layer of diamond blocks. 40,000 blocks per town. Keep in mind this is the mainworld ONLY. Not even taking into fact the mining world, and every reset, and the tons and tons of diamonds hauled in from there every reset. I understand not every single block in the mainworld is going to be dug up, but the mining world makes up for this. If i happen to have a single chest of diamonds, don't call the duper squad on me
No what im saying is, is that people selling 500 diamonds 1 day then the next they sell another 500 diamonds and it continues there is something wrong it not as much tools as it is ores, with ores people can dupe them realy easy as for tools its not the same because when you dupe ore blocks you can use a redstone and portal system to do so. With tools you cant i think they already patched the portal one though.
Set up a trade sign buying diamonds at a price > 30$, fill it with enough money and put it in a prominent place. Builders will sell their mined diamonds to you. I'm not sure whether you could achieve a supply of 500 diamonds per day, but you could sure sell a lot more than you could possibly have mined with your own hands (resp. enchanted tools).
We do not have a problem of items being duplicated currently, if you discover a way to dupe items that is makes them stay even after reloging pm Andrewkm or Wewinagain on the forum directly about it and the problem will be fixed. However on the matter of claiming that users are duping items, provide proof to an Admin and it will be looked into, otherwise it is in bad taste to claim a user is duping items.
If someone is selling 1,000 diamonds that doesn't mean they had been duplicated. I have around that much iron from 2 days of mining. They could have bought those diamonds and are now selling them or had worked very hard to obtain them.
Maybe your not quite grasping my point. There are enough diamonds (note my upper post) in the mainworld to coat 30 200x200 towns with a flat layor of diamond blocks. Someone selling 500 several days in a row would not surprise me. When you get mayor/president you'll understand the meaning of being "rich". I have barely begun to scratch the surface...
