This, I believe, is the most effective way to solve the fishing dilemma. For those who don't know, when you level up in fishing, you actually make less money than you did at lower levels. This is frustrating to me, and several other players that I know of. I believe that the players of ECC want change in this area, and it has been long overdue. If we could not get drops of increased value, then my suggestion would be to simply disable drops. I hope we can get this done together. Isaul007, AKA "The Clownfish"
I agree. I have a star rod with max fishing mcmmo and only make around 10k /hr with it, that's including experience at 1.5 per xp. The higher you get in mcmmo the more armor/tools you receive, but the armor/tool is mostly iron with a few gold, no diamond. Everybody wants diamond armor/tools so the only thing you can do is sell it to the server. Tools are worth $0.05 to the server. Armor has to be smelted in a furnace to get $0.83 for iron armor and gold armor $1.11. In comparison, fish is worth $20, $30, $40, or $50. I think we should get better drops (diamond armor/tools) or just no armor/tools and just a higher chance of catching $40-50 fish.
Isnt it Ironic how this user made this suggestion before he got banned for AutoFishing?? https://ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/ban-appeal-isaul007.166241/#post-926829
It is, but the point is still valid. Why should you make less money the higher you rank your mcmmo fishing?
+1 I would like to fish myself, but it simply doesn't yield enough money. It's a bit ridiculous that as @_Smokin said, you can only really get 10k with a STAR ROD (<---- ~800k in itself) and MAX mcmmo levels (Which I'm sure take hours upon hours to achieve) I wouldn't waste time taking out armor and junk even though it's definitely a good suggestion, go right to the core of the problem and raise the price of fish themselves!
Raising the price of fish will not help in this case. As you get higher in mcmmo, you get less fish and more armor/tools.
