Welcome to EcoCityCraft ShopDB! Website: https://shopdb.ecocitycraft.com/ ShopDB is an interactive search tool you can use to find exactly where you can buy or sell items for the best prices. More information such as how it works can be found by reading the home page. This thread is for changelogs only, all suggestions, new shop requests, and bug reports should be submitted on this thread. This post has been updated as ShopDB has been evolving for over a year now.
Maybe this isn't the appropriate time to be suggesting things given that it's in a beta stage, but would it be possible to also provide the IGN of the user's store in the search results? It would help differentiate between multiple store owners in a single region and would be a nice addition overall. (Shouldn't be too difficult given that IGNs are also provided on chest shop signs)!
Already doing it, just not displaying it. I can add that in on a future update My bad. Thanks for the heads up.
it would also be cool to see mean/standard deviation of each item across the entire server for pricing etc... and how many standard deviations each shop is from the mean. I don't think this would be too difficult to code
Thanks for the suggestion. With such a small dataset, I would question the accuracy of these analytics. It could be a potential update in the future, with a larger dataset (more shops)
the accuracy isn't too important as it would just be for judging which shops are overpriced (so to avoid them)
Can it show you how much "diamonds" they actually have in the shop because we might want to buy in bulk and they don't have a large amount of goods in the chest.
Yes a stock indicator would be really nice if that’s possible If it isn’t possible it’s still a awesome program
This is fecking cool af, some quality work here! I'll admit I spent some time last night looking up the prices of random items! Just a few things: 1) My price on my nstars (station5) apperes flipped, with the buy price shown as the sell price and vice versa. After some testing, I believe that this has something to do with the buy / sell line; when I buy at 800.01, there are no spaces between the colon, whereas when I take off the cent, a space is automatically put in and the correct prices are shown. 2) Would there be a way to view just the price list for 1 shop? Apart from that, it all looks cool, and buzzing to see what happene next!
I tried to do this, but unfortunately there’s no way of reading chest contents from the client-side. Just not possible. This would have to be a server plugin to implement that functionality.
That’s exactly right, nice catch. I assumed there would always be a space there. This will be the first thing fixed in the next update, thanks for reporting this. Searching by shops is also a great suggestion. You can filter the table by the search field above, but I think you meant to see all items in just one shop. That can be added. People have also requested coordinates / player name of the item sign, which I can add, but need to think of a good way to fit them into the table without it being overcrowded with unnecessary info.
Can you make this so that table has an option where you can hide certain columns? This might help with those that care about cords or player name to condense the table?
This might be a minor thing, but is it possible for this to list the coords of the chest as well? Some shops don’t organize well or have the shop so far from the warp
Prepare for version 1.0.1 release Downtime expected: ~15 minutes. The database will be recreated, meaning I'll have to add shops back and update them again. The whole process should take ~30 minutes. You will have to update your mod in order to update again. The link will be updated on the website. Make sure it is version 1.0.1 Changes: Coordinates of the item signs are now being sent and stored by the server. These coordinates are not yet visible on the table, but will be soon. Player names will now be visible when searching for items Fixed a bug where regular signs were being mistaken for trade signs Fixed a bug that caused the sell and buy prices to be swapped Fixed a bug where negative coordinates would potentially cause problems when updating shop boundaries Performance improvements when updating shops Improved logging so I can correct any potential errors on my end Table is now horizontally scrollable when width of the screen is smaller (phones, tablets) Done. I have something else in mind (expandable rows) This is being implemented. After this update, the data will be there. I now just need a clean way to show it. Fixed. Adding in the next update. EDIT: Update Successful. Time taken: 30 minutes. Had some unexpected bugs after update, quick-fix and done. Site should be back stable now.
1.0.1a released! * no update required, this was all front-end work Changes: Revamped the table to look better. Expandable rows now show the item sign coordinates Time format is now in AM/PM When you're buying items are now sorted by item price/each lowest to highest When you're selling items are now sorted by item price/each highest to lowest Done.
Please let me know once you consider it out of BETA @Kozz via forum PM and I will make an announcement and add an official link to the forum.
