I'm working on my town now and I just want to share my layout plan. http://tinypic.com/r/mm6crl/8 It has 80 10x10 plots and 32 20x20 plots. There is also a 64x64 section in the middle for town buildings. The red area is a path/decoration area. Feel free to use it and change it and add suggestions. It is only a very rough outline. Btw I made it on paint.
Thank you for the feedback. In my town I'm going to change some of the things like maybe have a farm, room for a small market etc. I was thinking of making a town multiple layers so I could have lots and lots of plots but that brings in the problem of basements. Also, with the layout I've got, there's going to be a lot of LWC removals posted. Think of all those builders coming and going...
The only problem is knocking down the mesa hills on the edge. If anyone wants they can come help mine them. You can keep the clay. I can easily place the rest.
Just curious. You say there are 32 20x20 plots (the outside im assuming). What are the 4 20x20 looking squares in the center?
I suggest that if you are looking to add a farm, put it underground. This leaves plenty of space on the main level for plots and a market place! Also, I really love the town design, it is neat and very functional! Good luck with everything!
