Griefing in the wild does not constitute harassment. Harassment in the wild is strictly chat/command based. This includes, but is not limited to; blackmail, bullying or any other form of harassment that occurs through our chat system. Attempting to kill other players in any non-PvP zone also constitutes as harassment, and succeeding in killing other players in non-PvP areas is a very severe offence that will result in a ban. Harassment is absolutely inexcusable on EcoCityCraft. If you are engaging in this behavior expect to be removed from the server with little to no warning. Disrespecting staff falls under this rule - They are players too. Please explain in your own words what the rule(s) means: To be nice to everyone and treat people with respect. no one deserves to feel bad Reason you feel you think you should be unbanned: I feel as if I should be un-banned because I wasn't given enough information to understand how I was banned. I messaged Phys after being banned asking how and why I was banned. I was only told I was harassing people on a daily basis. The only thing I know that Im doing is saying 'LOL' or 'Ty xD' those aren't bad terms, those simply are saying laugh out loud or thank you for a good game. I haven't gotten a response back for 3 days to clarify how I broke the Harassment rule. For all I know, I was banned for using friendly terms such as "LOL" or simply speaking to others after matches... I got zero warnings, and got banned right after that complaint was posted. I don't seem to understand how that was taken as harassment... those are nice terms meant to be the opposite of harassment. I know, for a fact this is the first time someone has been banned for this reason, saying simple terms as I did. I don't know why you banned me Phys, but I have a good feeling TeamRheas talked you into banning me. I know TeamRheas doesn't want me on the server, so what better way to get rid of me than twist these terms into a harassment violation? 7am I know you're from a different country than myself and perhaps these terms are offensive in your culture or native language, if this is the case then I truly am sorry. If this is not the case hopefully ECC won't have to change the harassment rule to include the terms "LOL" "xD" and "Ty". I as well as everyone else deserves to speak as long as we are not rude to one another, and anyone who wishes not to see all comments can use /ignore. Honestly this seems silly and I hope we can move past this and get along.
Hello Raccooy, I am glad that you wish to rejoin the community, I just have a few concerns. Firstly, you aren't thinking right in regards to your ban. Yes, you would be right, these are nice terms but, it depends on the attitude you set with them. Usually they can be used for fun times but, you get mad after a game and such and use them, they can be misconstrued as rude and rather mean. You play SG a lot and you can see when people are mad that they may say "LOL" because they lost and they can't really accept that. It is not acceptable to be that way when the community is supposed to be fun and nice for everyone, not people coming out of games saying things like that when they can't handle a loss. Secondly, I can say, without a doubt, that saying something like this: doesn't help your case much. I understand that there might be people who do not like one another on the server. That is life. Things happen like that but, putting it in an appeal does not favor you much. It is rude to assume that others want to get rid of you by tying to get you banned. If you think that, it is better to keep those thoughts to yourself because it will start to make you look bad in some sense. Thirdly: How does saying this help you? I know that you may think that just because he is in different country they do not have the same terms as us but, in all honesty, those sayings originated on the internet, so you do not really need to know or speak the same language to understand what they mean. I understand what you were trying to say but, this is not very relevant to your case and I do not think it is silly when someone is banned for harassment, do you? Harassment is not tolerated anywhere and should be taken very seriously because it only takes on little minor slip up to notice that you hurt someone and they do not have to express it. Finally, I would just like to sum up that you will not be returning with an appeal like this simply because there is a lack of remorse for your actions that got you this ban and the fact that you did not really understand why what you did was wrong. Please take the time to think about your ban reason in more depth and take into consideration the things I mentioned above. I look forward to your next appeal. Locked. Denied.
