Reason of Ban: Use of a Hacked Client Rule violated: Clause 1 - Hacking and Hacked Clients Fly, speed, air build, teleport hacking, or any other types of hacks, are not tolerated. This includes x-ray hacking and x-ray texture packs. Using any unfair means (including glitches, bugs, and exploits) to get into server buildings is also not allowed and is unfair to other users. Using any clients, specifically hacked clients, which may allow you to gain unfair advantages as deemed by ECC staff is strictly prohibited. Users caught using any client deemed to be a "hacked client", as defined by and at the discretion of the staff, will be banned. There is no excuse for using a hacked client on EcoCityCraft whatsoever. Discussion of hacked clients is not allowed - we do not allow them, and therefore we do not discuss them. Please explain in your own words what the rule(s) means: The rule is explicit. No use of a hacked client in whatever form, and I am fully aware that this was not only a hacked client, but a very damaging one for the server. Reason you feel you think you should be unbanned: First, I would like to simply state that I have no excuse and that I am ashamed. Today, I was shown a hacked client and tried using it to further help me in PVP, but in just two hours it became clear to the user @7amoodw that I was playing suspiciously. I have no excuse and I ask the pardon of the staff. I was asked earlier if I had a hacked client to where I had said no, but caused me to be interested in the matter. I went look up the hacked client <Staff Edit> and was amazed at its capabilities. I started using it today to help me mine more easily by switching between tools, but then I realized it had PVP capabilities. Needless to say, it was selfish and unfair of me to do so, being that I had already put in so much work into PVP and had no need to further myself with a hacked client. To put it simply, I was curious, desperate for money, and acted on impulse. It was wrong and selfish, and while I fear the reaction of the community, I fear more greatly having hurt members of the staff who have trusted me as a former moderator. I have nothing further I can say, and I hope to demonstrate in the future that this was simply a lapse in my character. I apologize especially both to @7amoodw and @oreo1227 for this behavior, and I give them each my assurances that upon the acceptance of this appeal, that any hacked client in whatever form will never be used again.
Hello @DevotedToChrist , I'm glad to see you're looking to appeal your ban. EcoCityCraft is a hardcore economy server where anyone who decides to cheat is not only ruining the game for themselves but ruining the game for those around them which is exactly what you were doing with this kind of behavior. However, I am glad to see that you understand this and that you seem to understand the magnitude of your actions, hacking is a serious offence on EcoCityCraft and as you well know is not something we take lightly. As this is your first offense and that you have apologized to not only the people you individually affected but to the server as a whole I will be giving you a 3 day temp ban, I suggest that in these 3 days you fully go over the server rules once more to prevent any kind of situation like this happening again.
