Minecraft Username: Tanmanyellow17 Reason of Ban: Use of a PvP hacking client. Rule violated: Clause 4 - Third Party Programs, Auto-Clicking, Auto-Farming, etc. The use of third party programs that create any form of advantage that does not require you to do work while playing Minecraft is strictly prohibited, and can result in a ban. EcoCityCraft staff have measures in place to test for users auto-clicking and using third party programs. Users caught auto-clicking, auto-fishing, using an aimbot, or any other distinct advantage to exploit game play will be punished appropriately. Any form of auto money generation, including, but not limited to, auto-farming and auto-fishing, is completely prohibited by any means. If you are caught using macros or clients to generate money without having to do any work, you will be punished, up to and including the extent of being permanently banned and having everything you own wiped off the server. Be warned that we take this very seriously, and processes that result in auto money generation are a serious risk to our economy's stability. ~ Clause 1 - Hacking and Hacked Clients Fly, speed, air build, teleport hacking, or any other types of hacks, are not tolerated. This includes x-ray hacking and x-ray texture packs. Using any unfair means (including glitches, bugs, and exploits) to get into server buildings is also not allowed and is unfair to other users. Using any clients, specifically hacked clients, which may allow you to gain unfair advantages as deemed by ECC staff is strictly prohibited. Users caught using any client deemed to be a "hacked client", as defined by and at the discretion of the staff, will be banned. There is no excuse for using a hacked client on EcoCityCraft whatsoever. Discussion of hacked clients is not allowed - we do not allow them, and therefore we do not discuss them. Please explain in your own words what the rule(s) mean: This rule means that there is to be no sort of unfair gameplay in SG or PvP, or the whole server in that matter. Any type of hacked clients are highly illegal and will result in a ban. These sorts of things only make gameplay unfair for the others, and are bad for the economy as well. To add on, discussion of hacked clients are also illegal. Reason you feel you think you should be unbanned: I feel as if I should be unbanned, for the reason of, I was not PvP hacking, nor will I ever. Hacking would get me no where, besides banned. They are so unfair for the rest of the members of the community, trying to have fun and play fair. There is absolutely no point in hacking, whatsoever, it just ruins the fun of the game. Throughout my whole time playing on the server, I've liked things fair. I've never even thought of downloading any sort of hack, ever. I'd feel so guilty, and I know that I would get caught. As I've said before many times, it is just so unfair, and would ruin it not just for myself, but for others. As for the video -- the first hit that I had on laxcd1, did infact look a little bit strange. However, as unknown has stated in previous complaints / appeals, that when using speed, sometimes the angles may look a bit strange. Despite that, he also added that it does not necessarily mean a user was hacking because of that. To add on, I have also heard unknown talk about something known as player displacement / client side lag. This was also most likely a possibility of what went on in the video. This means that one one persons' client, they could appear in a certain place, but on the others client, they could appear somewhere else. Lastly, unknown has previously stated that it is possible to be what is called "combo'ed". This makes it more difficult for your opponent to hit you back, and along with that comes angles that may look weird from your opponents client side. Edit: As you can seen in the video, I run towards him, and do a 180. He then gets the first hit on me, but soon after, I hit him back. Once he hit me, he dealt a bit of Knockback, but I was able to hit him before being knock backed. I then started running towards him while spam clicking, hit him first, before he hit me. That resulted in his death. Edit: 0:07 - Laxcd11 gets the first hit on me directly on my feet. But then, very soon after, he is hit back by me. I also knock him back by doing so. 0:08 - a hit registers on laxcd11, from me. Although I am facing slightly backwards at the time, about a 1/2 second later, I am completely turned around, and facing him. At that time, the hit completely finishes off. 0:09 - I quickly turn around and run straight towards laxcd11. At this time, I was spam clicking, and evidently hit him first by doing so. This, was the result of his death, as I had buffer, and he was at about half health. Also, my hits were produced at normal speed, as far as I'm concerned. I am not positive, but I believe that some sort of hacked clients would deal damage / hits faster than a normal hitting speed. This is not true in this case, as I was hitting normally. About the hits -- the first one may have looked a bit strange, that is most likely a result of a combo or critical hit. Also, I was turned around by the time the hit had registered. The second hit was direct on, and it was a matter of who hit who first. I also have a strategy of clicking both right and left click, first left click, then right click soon after. It usually deals a bit of a Knockback, as well. Edit: Also, by turning up your mouse sensitivity, it makes it easier to swing your head around faster. And by doing so, all you have to do is spam click, which is another one of my strategies. I also want to add a screenshot of my singleplayer world, which proves that there were no hacks involved.: I hope this was infact, enough to prove to you that I was not hacking, and thoroughly describe all of the possibilities that may have went on during the video. I personally would recommend re-watching the video. Thank you for your time, and sorry for any confusion involved. I'd like to be let back on the one and only server I play on. It's very difficult to admit to something I didn't do. I am telling the honest truth, and If I do not get unbanned on this occasion, I'm guessing I'll have to admit to doing something I truly did not do.
Please do not post any further comments unless they contain relevant information. This goes for all users and may result in a forum warning.
Again, as Original said, do not post unnecessary comments in this thread. Let the appropriate staff members deal with the complaint. We will being issuing warnings if this continues.
@ihazpiez87 has been issued a warning for continuing to comment on an appeal that does not pertain to him. Lets consider this another warning to the rest of you to stop commenting. It doesnt matter if hes a good friend, be a good friend and dont get yourself in trouble as well.
It was asked that unnecessary posts are kept out of this appeal, i will be issuing a forum warning, further unnecessary posts will result in more forum warnings.
Now...You all have had multiple warnings and know better than this. I don't want to see another single post in here. This is an appeal. Not a place to rant. Every post from this point on will be given a warning. I understand that you all feel strongly against the ban and want to stand up for your friend but this is not the time nor place.
@TheZombieMuffin + @PandaManiack Anymore unnecessary posts on this thread may result in a forum temp ban. As Physicistsmom said, all posts from this point on will be issued a forum warning, or now a temp ban. Do not let this happen again please.
Thank you for appealing. After extensive viewing of the video against you there was one frame found that shows the exact second you landed the first hit on this user. You can see that your head is facing the right way to make this hit possible and not a second later your body turns around which is a common result of lag. As the new staff member who deals with these kind of complaints I personally don't see conclusive evidence of you using any type of hacked client. Unbanned
