This might sound unbelievable, and i understand if you will not believe me.
I saw the post with my ban request, and i think i know why people though i was using X-Ray.

I have made several mods, and i normally tweak a few things like this in minecraft.
A while back i wrote a mod to allow me to see F3 commands without the entire promt, things like location, fps, biome, seed, etc.

I used a font/layout type i downloaded from a royalty free minecraft dump.

I'm not sure, but could it be that i used a version which is also used in an X-Ray mod? ;_;

Again, i'm sorry about this shit, and understand it if i remain banned, since i can't provide any proof of the matter, but please...
I just want to play with my friends again...

I am sorry that i didn't provide a copy of the broken clause, see below:

"Clause 1 - Hacking and Hacked Clients

• Fly, speed, air build, teleport hacking, or any other types of hacks, are not tolerated. This includes x-ray hacking and x-ray texture packs. Using any unfair means (including glitches, bugs, and exploits) to get into server buildings is also not allowed and is unfair to other users.
• Using any clients, specifically hacked clients, which may allow you to gain unfair advantages as deemed by ECC staff is strictly prohibited.
• Users caught using any client deemed to be a "hacked client", as defined by and at the discretion of the staff, will be banned. There is no excuse for using a hacked client on EcoCityCraft whatsoever.
• Discussion of hacked clients is not allowed - we do not allow them, and therefore we do not discuss them."

 

I should probably also mention that the modification is integrated in the minecraft folder itself.
I could try to get all the component files out, but even then, it's a self modifying compatability system, to make sure i can forget about it and never update it again... :/
Pretty much meaning it'd write code by itself over multiple files, and even deleting it's own file and recreating it under a different name to prevent issues.
It'd take days to get it.
Maybe even weeks... ;_;

 

If deemed necessary i can still delete the modification by completely reinstalling MC, btw.

The thing is i didn't lie.
I actually wrote the mod myself with the help of a few of my students.
It is a project we have been working on.
We used the makeup of snapshots to determine how SDM should keep evolving to make sure it'd stay compatible, and so far, with a few minor setbacks (like the storage server crashing yesterday), it had been a success...

And yes, i teach algorithmic data analysis and engineering at an HBO in the Netherlands, as a sort of hobby, but that's besides the point.

Yes, i lied about not knowing that i used the xray mod as a design template, since i liked it.
In fact, i used pretty much the whole mod, but pulled the keybinds out.
So, in theory, it was STILL the same mod, but without the keybinds.
I feared that me admitting to this fact would make it so that you would not unban me.
I am sorry for doing so.

The thing is that i can't summarize what the mod actually does in a few sentences or a text like this.
The F3 display is just some mod i used.
The project itself is about adaptive coding, a field which is still pretty much nonexistent. (And for a good reason. It's not easy. -_-)
I usually run the newest version of SDM on my personal laptop, which is where i made the screenshots from.

Again, i am truly sorry for lying, acting like a 7 year old, and passively insulting JamieSinn...

I ALSO am sorry that i used your server for bug testing of the mod at the time of the griefing.
I swear i will not use any modified clients on EcoCityCraft from this moment onward. (well... except for optifine, maybe.)

 

Also, i should state that the options file is also fake, since i am legally not allowed to share any information about what we do in our classes.
Might have been a contract i signed upon becoming a teacher there... :/
