Minecraft Username: soysos7342 Reason of Ban: Breach of contract Rule violated: Failed to return 30k to a user for a loan. Rule violated: Clause 2 - Scamming A general definition of a scam in the context of EcoCityCraft is a transaction in which a user pays for goods or services from another user, and does not receive those goods/services in the agreed upon timeframe. Failing to uphold your end of the deal is scamming, and is punishable by a ban. Your continuance on the server may rely on you following through with your end of the deal, or refunding what you scammed, solely at the staff’s discretion. Clause 2.2 - Attempted Scamming Users cannot attempt to scam other users. If enough evidence is provided and the staff believe a scam was intended, this will result in a temporary ban against the offending user. Attempted scamming includes misleading sales or auctions. For example an auction for 'a melon, sword'. Clause 3 - Contracts All contracts signed and approved in the contracts forum serve as proof of agreement, and must be followed through by all parties involved. For a full and current list of contract forum rules and regulations, please see our contracts forum sticky post about getting started on contracts. Contracts can act as proof of agreement, but in all cases, proof of payment is also required. Please explain in your own words what the rule(s) means: I was supposed to pay 30k to a user in two weeks after I received the loan. I failed to return the money to the user, and was banned after the week. Reason you feel you think you should be unbanned: I don't believe I should be unbanned, but right after I got banned from ECC I quit Minecraft and I fell into a depression. I hope that, that doesn't persuade you I just want to provide background details. I made a stupid mistake to take a loan and be stupid and to blow off the user and never get that user their money back. If I could take back receiving that loan, I definitely would so I would still be on ECC. I wish I wouldn't have scammed the user and not pay the money to them. I had no reason to not pay back the user the 30k that I owed to him. I really enjoyed playing ECC and I made tons of friends while I was on ECC. I will abide by the rules and I won't scam people anymore if I get unbanned. I realize that what I did to that user was wrong and I can't forgive myself for scamming that user of his money. I was very young at the time of the scam so that could be a factor but, please do not use any of those stupid reasons I have posted to persuade you from your decisions. I love ECC and I wish to be back in the most friendly community I have ever experienced. I wish to be unbanned but I understand the reason I would not be unbanned in the case of that happening. Thank you for reading my appeal. - soysos7342
I would love to pay the 30k back that I owe to the user but, unfortunately since it was a couple years back, I don't remember the user who gave me the loan. If anyone can find out who that user was and if he still plays on ECC, I would love to pay this user back because what I did was wrong.
@soysos7342 I'm glad to see you've decided to appeal your ban, which appears to be for breach of this contract. Before I continue with your appeal, please also quote the rules relating to contracts and scamming.
I have edited the appeal and since I know that the user is Taishee, I will pay back the 30k if need be and if the user is still on the server.
I have edited the appeal and knowing that the user I scammed is Taishee, I would love to pay the 30k back to that user if he still plays ECC.

Thanks for completing this as requested. The player you haven't repaid appears to be offline for roughly a year, so I can't enforce a payment at this time, though should @Taishee return they may file a complaint and repayment settled there. Scamming isn't acceptable and you will still be held accountable should the issue arise. As for returning, I will be unbanning you now as you've been offline over a year, though make sure you reread our server rules and look through the forums, as quite a lot of things have changed in this time. @soysos7342 unbanned. @Taishee may file complaint regarding debt upon return.
