Minecraft Username: joey41586 Have you changed your Minecraft username since being banned? If so, what is your previous name: I have not changed my name Which of ECC's services are you banned on? Main server Reason of Ban: Minor Crop Grief Rule violated: No griefing in towns Please explain in your own words what the rule(s) means: A player should not destroy anything in a town that is not his. Reason you feel you think you should be unbanned: My internet went out for a day right as I was collecting crops and I was banned without even a chance to explain myself? That's very unfair. The owner of the town saw me replant other crops why would I not replant all of them? It's silly the owner of the town over reacted. I'm sorry for a problem I couldn't control?
Please quote the rule you have broken from the wiki, including the actual rule not just the heading please. This is required by the appeal
Clause 1 - Griefing Grief is defined as breaking or destroying things that do not belong to you, including breaking and replacing things to get to places that otherwise you shouldn't be going (for example, breaking into someone's house.) This can also extend to building things in areas that do not belong to you. Grief is not allowed in protected towns, unless the town owner has decided otherwise. In the event a grief occurs in a non-grief town then a grief report can be filed here: Grief Report and Rollback Request If a town allows grief then all residents must be informed before joining the town. When a grief report is filed, grief is graded on a sliding scale of minor/moderate/major based on the amount and severity of damage done, and is determined based on staff guidelines by the staff member investigating the situation. It is also determined at that time whether the grief is bad enough to warrant a rollback. Grief in the wild is frowned upon, but allowed. Staff will not take any action in the case of wild grief. Please see Section 7 for rules regarding grief in the Aether, Nether and Mining World.
Hello @joey41586 , I'm glad to see that you are looking to appeal your ban. Although you do say the words "I'm sorry" I can't help but feel like those words aren't really true, I'm getting the impression that you believe this is the owner of the towns fault and that you did nothing wrong. I'll just straighten this out now, the person who griefed the town was you, the owner was simply making sure who did the grief got punished for it, you need to take responsibility for your actions instead of saying it was the owners fault for over-reacting. I can understand why you are frustrated however as if indeed your internet did go out there was really nothing you could do which although you do feel like this ban was unjust, I can sympathize with you. As this was your first ban for griefing and that you do have a believable excuse for why you couldn't replant the crops I am going to be giving you 2 hour temp ban, in these 2 hours I highly reccomend that you re-read the rules just to make sure you fully understand our griefing rule and what to do in the future if another situation like this happens again. User given 2 hour temp ban - Appeal Locked.
