Reason of Ban: Hacked client "chest finder"


Rule violated:

Section 6 - Hacking, Exploits and Unfair Play


Clause 1 - Hacking and Hacked Clients


· Fly, speed, air build, teleport hacking, or any other types of hacks, are not tolerated. This includes x-ray hacking and x-ray texture packs. Using any unfair means (including glitches, bugs, and exploits) to get into server buildings is also not allowed and is unfair to other users.


· Using any clients, specifically hacked clients, which may allow you to gain unfair advantages as deemed by ECC staff is strictly prohibited.


· Users caught using any client deemed to be a "hacked client", as defined by and at the discretion of the staff, will be banned. There is no excuse for using a hacked client on EcoCityCraft whatsoever.


· Discussion of hacked clients is not allowed - we do not allow them, and therefore we do not discuss them.



Please explain in your own words what the rule(s) means: hacking is a serious offense which can enable a user to do things that are not supposed to be able to do. Example: ChestFinder, Xray. By a user playing with a hacked client or using hacks it gives set user an unfair advantage in many different aspects of minecraft.


Reason you feel you think you should be unbanned:

After a couple days of thinking about what I have done I have decided to write this ban appeal for the huge mistake that I have made.



Hacking is a serious offense and it taken very seriously here on ECC. For a user that has been playing for almost 3 years to go down to that level and use hacks in an event that was supposed to be fun for everyone on a wonderful holiday like Easter is very stupid and selfish of me to do. My actions by doing this were very stupid and I regret this fully. I admit that I was using hacks and chest finder in the Easter event and I thought by doing this it would give me an advantage but the only thing it gave me was a ban that I should have never gotten but did because of my stupid decision to user a hacked client.



Why should I be unbanned? I think I should be unbanned because this is my first time getting banned in almost 2 year and first time getting banned for using a hacked client. This is my first time ever using a hacked client and after using this I do not understand why a user would want to use one since it ruins the fun for all other users and in most cases get you banned from servers that you love to play on. as you can see this was a VERY stupid thing for me to do as it ruined the fun that staff were trying to bring to the server and users that love the server. I have deleted my hacked client and if I am ever caught again using a hacked client or hacking please ban be PERMANENTLY as for I have been banned once for this now and if I am stupid enough to do it twice I should not be allowed to play on server that I truly love. Here is a screenshot of my versions folder from my .minecraft folder. In reading through various ban appeals over the years and knowing that these screenshots do not do much if anything I would still like to post them here. If you need or want anything else from me to prove that I have deleted my hacked client please ask.

3 years on this server have been great. I've met lots of people and made lots of good friends and relationships with users. This server has been so much fun and I will always have great memories from this server. I respect the staff for working so hard on this server and their choices throughout the server that they are forced to make. I accept whatever happens with this as my ban is 100% my fault and could have been 100% preventable if I had not violated the rules of the server. I don’t except many if anyone to forgive me for using chest finder on ECC but if you do, I promise it will NEVER happen again. For the staff, all the eggs that I collected during the Easter event are in my backpack, feel free to take them out and give them to other users since I do not deserve them in the slightest bit.
