AnokFero Banned by **Dewsy92 Reason: Attempting to kill a player in a non-pvp area @baileyandjosh has asked me to do four mansions at his place. In trying to complete this I required torches to see if they can be placed where needed on the walls [made out of stairs and glass], Bailey constantly refused to get the torches first talking in TeamSpeak [thou I forget who he was talking to as I wasn't there]. Then going afk, then coming back around 20minutes. After this I asked for torches, he refused, built a 'prison' of Netherrack and Iron Bars, he mined out, asked again. In the play that continued for over 30minutes bailey died once at my hands because he stopped in fire that was place five blocks ahead of him -literally running into the fire and purposely stopping in it, dropping water over his head (in a 2x2 gap which would not have killed him) trapping him in a 2x2x6 (approx) hole, fling fire around his entrances to the building, firing fire in the 2x2 trap which he again walked in - staying still would have meant he could have punched the fire out. None where attempts to kill him, none of the attempts where real in anyway. It was fun - skype conversations included that he knew what I was doing it, and knew I wasn't aiming to kill him. Using methods that I know that will be easy to defend against - in both a single punch to extinguish fire as well as server burn time of non-netherrack blocks. Bailey in skype indicated that he would tell a mod, get the mod to come over and that the mod would just "LOL" and ignore the situation. Evidence: Bailey as soon as he discovered I was "really and actually banned" continued to annoy Dewsy92 till such a point as Bailey felt he too would be banned for harassing staff.
Hello @Anokfero Thank you for being honest in your appeal and explaining the situation thoroughly. I do believe you that this was all supposed to be a bit of fun, but I want to make it very clear that this is not something to joke about. Attempting to kill other users is a very serious offence and the consequences are significant. Similarly, this part of your appeal shows the two of you completely disrespecting staff: The staff team are incredibly busy, in particular during the time that this all took place when there weren't many of us online. To troll/joke about in this manner with Staff is completely unacceptable. I would like to make it clear however, that I did not ban you for joking around/trolling the staff team. It was solely because it looked like you were attempting to kill baileyandjosh. When I tp'ed to baileyandjosh I witnessed you light the ground around him, and then you lighting the area when he was trapped in the small hole which you described above, resulting in him taking damage. This was clear enough evidence of attempting to kill in a non-pvp area which is why I banned you. I hope that this demonstrates how serious actions can be, despite them only being intended as a joke. This whole situation has ended up just wasting staff members' time, for the only purpose of attempting to get a quick laugh out of this. This is not acceptable. To reflect this I am going to be unbanning you, but giving you a 1 day temp ban. @baileyandjosh - I'd also like to make this point very clear to you too. You were extremely deceptive in seeking assistance from Staff and only changed your attitude when you realised that I had banned AnokFero. Please consider this you only warning not to troll staff in this manner again. This type of behaviour will not be tolerated in the future. Locked - AnokFero's ban reduced to a 1 day temp ban
