Counter-Reason: Well, this is incredibly embarrassing. I never thought I'd have to post in this forum, and yet here I am. What Laff80 saw was me training the Woodcutting McMMO skill. As we all know this isn't exactly fun or interesting. So, I've streamlined it as best as I'm able and have gotten the process down so that I can do it with a single hand. This frees me to browse the web or watch movies or do any other reasonably brainless activity while I train with one hand. It isn't auto-clicking nor was any glitch used - I've just remapped nearly all of my keys such that I can place blocks and click with ketboard keys. Last night I was watching a movie on my laptop while doing this, and when I glanced back at the screen after ... well, I'm not sure how long to be honest, I had been banned. Seeing as it was quite late, I finished my movie and headed to bed (i was half asleep in my chair already). In retrospect, I understand that to a moderator this sort of activity is indistinguishable from auto-clicking if I don't pay close attention. It's my own fault for not checking Minecraft more often, especially when it would be reasonable to assume that what I was doing was not alright. In the future I will pay much closer attention to the screen while training so that it does not cause anybody any trouble. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused.

Evidence: I'm not sure what I could provide as evidence, but I can attach a copy of the key-binds I use if that is of any help. You can even test it out yourself, if you have the key-bind program installed (autohotkey). As you can see it's quite comfortable to use and only requires practice to get the timing right. @Generaljoecool can also testify that I spend some time training this way, as I'm usually chatting with him off and on when doing it.

The rule in place regarding bans and moderator applications is a good one, and there for a reason. Whether it should apply to those who have been banned over misunderstandings is a bit less clear. In any case, server administration will make the correct choice in their decision on our new batch of moderators. My mod application is not there to serve my interests, but those of the server. To that end I'm certain the correct moderators for the job will be chosen, whether I am among them or not.
