[Appeal] A apology, a explanation, and possibly a farewell

    Hi everyone. This is your friendly builder MikeRaven1 here.

    A few months ago, I was banned from ECC on accounts of "advertising." I kind of drifted away from the server for a long time--untill now.

    First, let me tell you about me and the server.

    When I got my MC account, I did research (yeah, on MC) on which server to play on. I looked at this server and joined. I was not disappointed.

    Fast forward a year later. I'm in Beijing, studying at Tsinghua University. I still love Minecraft, but I have less and less time to play it. Now, I have a bit more time.

    The day I got banned, my internet was being stupid (never trust wired connections). I was trying to say something, and chat lagged and i posted the same message 3 times. Got kicked for spam. No biggie. I got back on the server and tried to tell my friend to get on a idle server with less lag where we could talk there (he lives in US, and long-distance is expensive) via messaging, but, stupid internet strikes again. I accidentally posted the server IP on global chat. Needless to say, I got banned immediately.


    After a few futile attempts at getting my friend to get the admins to unban me via direct server chat (I spent so much money that week) I finally gave up. Until now. I miss my house in Lakeside.


    I'm sorry for advertising (even if it was accidental and no one heard me). A unban would be nice, but, it is your choice.

    If you unban me, great! If not, I hope we meet somewhere on the internet.

    Thanks for taking the time to post a ban appeal! I like how you seemed to put effort in your appeal and seemed to be straightforward and honest. Advertising servers is, as you saw, a instant ban. In the future please do not advertise other servers whilst playing.

    On the downside, you need to follow the correct format for a ban appeal. Here is the correct format:
