I got made a pen and threw a bunch of eggs in, nothing. Why can I not hatch chickens? is there another way, do I have to buy chicken spawn eggs? if so, where do I get farm animal spawn eggs?
Animals can only spawn in the mining world (other than horses). It is possible you were in a world other than the mining world. There are no spawn eggs, and it's rare that a chicken spawns with throwing eggs. As time goes on after a mining world restart, animals become less and less. You'll be able to see some more when the mining world resets.
I was in the wild, my home is there. I find it weird that they dont put animals in the wild, and the monsters are rare also.
Hi dklentz As Oreo said above, animals can only be found in the mining world and mobs spawn at a slower rate than usual in order to prevent lag. I understand your confusion as trying to find animals and start an animal farm was the first thing I tried to do when I joined. However, there are many other ways to make money and get food/mob drops on ECC. Try "/help money" in-game for different ways to make money and, for food and mob drops, you also have an option to buy them from the shops or by posting in trade channel (/ch tr) that you're looking for them.
