You may be asking yourself, "How can I build this," "Who would take on such a task," "What is this MineCraft I keep hearing all of my friends talking about?" Well that is why I have made this thread. Purrguin has a town near the spawn that he just got that is dedicated to a similar structure, but (no offence Purrguin) a 200x200 would not do this creation justice. After seeing this video for the first time, I knew we need thid in our server. That is why I have showed it to Purrguin who has purchased a town to build it. But as you can see, its huge. This is the suggestion part: Spoiler Ok, I have a few ideas that may work: 1. We have building applications that show things that either you built, or took part in the construction of and the ten people get to build it. 2. But wait! Where shall we put this beautiful creation? How about a new spawn, or a 400x400 designated area, near no towns. It would work as a nice spawn, but the town portals may have to be moved underground. 3. There were a lot of buildings, would they just be empty. No, the extra buildings could be either spawn shops, or homes of moderators, super moderators, the constructors of the city, and of course, our superior all-powerful, all-knowing server owner Andrewkm! I myself would love to have something like this, but I don't like the idea of copying someones work for our own publicity. If anyone (Purrguin) does build something as magnificent as this city, I would think it should be something of his own creation, not something he saw in a video. Expand your mind and embrace your imagination, and with that I'm sure you can accomplish something as great as this.
Very cool, but not to be a downer, I’m guessing the people with towns next to spawn would not like there towns suddenly not being next to spawn.
I dont think it would be very fair to *steal* an idea and make it our server's icon. If andrekm doesn take this in consideration: -Make it the new spawn, but dont put the portals in the same place to prevent lag. -Make an app to be choosen to help with this project. -Supply items -.-
I have done some thinking and your right. I shouldnt take the idea, but, I am still suggesting the construction of a massive, outstanding creation for the server. (Besides Shady Mountain, and a few other amazing builds.)
It would be nice to download maps onto our town area.... I would personally add the Huger Games 2 (survival games 2) Map!!!
I agree that we need to do something like this at spawn. With the quality of builders and creators on this server, we have the capability. I may seem like a major project, but with about 20 or so trustworthy and well organized users it could be done very easily. Andrew would have to select the individuals via an application process and have one of the most experience members lead and dIrect the process. I love the city idea and it would go with the surrounding area very well. I know that there are some usefull pc appz out there for creating schematics and importing them into the server map by andrew himself. We could set up a flat terrain server to work on the project and then import it into ecocity. I can walk anyone through how to create schematics and it takes a lot less time and effort. It may not be the same as building it from scratch, but could be something to consider. Nice job crossfire. Great idea!
