HAHA, man even banned players aren't playing on that server. I haven't seen anyone play on there for a week. HOWEVER, because of the mob difficulty and the lack of resets, i have been enjoying the challenge. The primary challenge of VMR is the weekly resets. Because of those, it limits what i can or want to build, but i can go crazy on the Anarchy side. But honestly, it comes more down to - if we have this server, why not find a use for it? Some people like anarchy servers....
Anarchy is not called anarchy to be an anarchy server extension. Anarchy only exists JUST for the banned players (maybe because of EULA, maybe because Andrew wanted to fuck with them). Notice the chat is not even connected to the ECC network. I am heavily against turning that server into something other than that & making it better for people who are on it. It's honestly not meant to be a server to play on
I donno man, if its meant to suck for the people playing it... no ones playing it. there are chucks just 2000 blocks for spawn that i am loading for the first time. And yeah the chat being off is both peaceful but disconnecting at the same time. Kind of nice - kind of not. Either way, doesnt really matter, turns out melons can be farmed with any type of sword.
I don't go to anarchy, but do axes not work on melons on anarchy? Axes are the preferred tool for melons. Main just blocked them a long time ago to create the melon sword & make melon farming a featured farm
Correct - as of now it looks like the only way melons can be farmed is with a sword. I assume this was just an oversite when the sub-server was created and there wasnt enough traffic on the server for it to be discovered and reported.
Personally maybe we should just let banned places be banned from the server and either turn anarchy into something worthwhile such as a pure vanilla experience (Can still be classed as anarchy as grief/PvP can happen). If not, what's the point of it existing and using up processing power being bought for the server? Like he said no one is playing it, so turn it into either something that is unique that people might entertain our just axe it. Always thought the idea of letting banned players still play a world that is completely disconnected with ECC but on ECC was just weird and ngl silly.
A while ago, when Andrew was talking about expenses for the server, I said something like "Why not get rid of Anarchy & save the costs of running that specific server?" He said that Anarchy will absolutely stay no matter what (without giving any more reason past that). I still personally do not see the need for Anarchy besides fucking with banned players (unless EULA compliancy somehow requires it). We have new ownership of the server, so maybe it is time to rethink if Anarchy is something we still want to pay for.
