So, while looking through the ban appeals/complaints thread, I thought about something. How do y'all feel when someone posts on the appeal/complaint and/or sends you a forum PM to let you know that 24 hours has passed? (or some other timed thing like that) Please be honest, I wouldn't post this if I didn't want full honesty.
Speaking as a former staff member, I have to say most of the time it is rather annoying. For the majority, we are aware the 24 hours has past but are yet to get to it - doesn't really matter if it's 2 or 3 hours over. But if it's 10 hours +, go bug them about it.
When someone sends me a forum PM about their ban appeal, I make it my goal to never look at that appeal again.
Sounds like a reasonable policy. However, I was more talking about essentially random people, not the creator of the ban appeal/complaint.
Yeah, it can get annoying. We don't stare at our screen all day waiting for the 24 hours to pass. Generally the staff team is good about this. Sometimes things come up irl so we're not able to respond to the complaint/appeal right away. But as bash said, if it goes way over 24 hours it can be helpful, and I'd just click the "report" button on the post.
