In Game Name: Speed42jhWhat part of EcoCityCraft is this suggestion for: All Main ServersShort title for your suggestion: QuestsWhat are you suggesting: I am suggesting that in the main economy servers, there should be quests. These quests would be some like skyblock's challenges. Why is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?: I think this is a good addition to EcoCityCraft because it would give newer players something to work for other than just getting 100k for mayor to get a town. These challenges could reward stuff such as max tools. Giving max tools to newer players would aid in their money making and wouldn't really hurt the economy either since max tools are so common now. These quests would be very similar to how skyblock has its challenges and would be relatively easy to complete. I feel like if there's more that you can do as soon as you join the more involved you'll get with the serverOther information: There could be different lines of challenges like farming challenges for a fortune 3 hoe or mining challenges for a maxed diamond pickaxe stuff like that.Plugin or custom addition: Existing as its on skyblockOne suggestion per form: I Understand.
I will happily +1 this. Gives more goals for the main servers, which I will happily partake in. I would even go as far as adding a suggestion for another prestige once all quests are completed However, I also want to state that the only reason I would be against this is because challenges makes skyblock unique. Making main like skyblock might not be the best idea, but that isn't enough to make me disagree. I actually really want this for the main servers.
With the proper quest rewards, you'd really be able to foster player markets that were otherwise very dead. Could be neat.
I've always wondered about the Advancements tab and how it doesn't work on ECC. Perhaps some sort of custom inclusion of the Advancements to allow for creative goals to be achieved in-game? https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/crazy-advancements-api.51741/ +1
+1 Quite a neat idea for sure. However, with that possibility of being accepted comes proper execution first.
+1 I actually think this sounds quite fun, would be something else to work towards and complete. Maybe even a forum medal for completing them all/a prestige? Even if not, it's something fun and different to do.
Just because I am kind of obsessed with lored items, maybe make some rewards lored items as well as ECD / what I suggested earlier. It would be neat to get a lored item that says something like “Stick master” after selling a million sticks.
This would be cool. You could do something with fishing too. For instance, if you catch x amount of fish, then you could receive the name of “The Best Master Baiter.”
Completely agree. I think this idea has an extreme amount of potential. You could even implement different tasks for different ranks, with the higher the ranks the better rewards. Not only would this give more incentive to rankup, but it could have the potential to increase player retention. I really hope this gets considered. Major +1.
I'm probably misreading this, but do you mean adding more quests when you rankup or you get different quests when you rankup?
Different quests, so a Builder's quests and rewards from the quest would be different than a Mayors, and a Mayors would be different from a Pres/Tycoon, and so on. Just to kinda make each quest and their rewards are valuable/worth it to each rank.
That's what I thought it meant. I actually disagree with this suggestion in a suggestion then. I am down for adding quests as you rank up, but you should not change prizes as you rankup. What if I, an EcoLeader, feels like the president reward is better than the EcoLeader prize? Then I can't get it. Worth is mental sometimes, so I don't think we should bar someone from obtaining a prize, especailly when many people are already ranked up to their rank. If they wanted a prize that was lower than their rank, then they are screwed and can't get it. Plus, there are some uber rich builders who don't want to rank up. The builder prize would be next to nothing for them. Rank =/= wealth. I am for ranks influencing quests, but only if each rankup adds new quests.
Yeah I totally agree. I suggest this if the prizes can have a set monetary value. For example, President would get a stack of nstars for completing a quest, and a Tycoon would get a stack and a half of nstars for completing a quest. I agree with you though, if the prizes were one of a kind prizes that didn't easily have a monetary value that clearly shows that one prize is superior to the other, it would stink to miss out on cool prizes.
+1 Could be used as a way to explain how to play on the server. Personally when I spawn into a wall of text i dont read much of it
Im marking this denied because I'm not going to slap it on ECC with no effort right this moment and call it a day. However with that said, I've been planning some major things for 2021, and quests is actually something I've been keeping my eyes on. The plugin we're interested in actually just got a major update and is in a "release candidate" stage. So it's also a good idea to wait for the major 4.0.0 version to hit officially. (https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/quests.3711/) Anyways, only reason I'm marking this denied is because it won't happen soon and won't be placed into our todo list as it's not something I ever want to rush... will take a ton of testing and planning. None the less, I can almost positively say something like this will happen.
