What are you suggesting:

Placing sponges can also melt away/evaporate snow blocks, snow layers, and powdered snow.​

Why is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?:

Helps with emerald mining on snow mountains. Helps clear snow faster.​

Other information:

Would work just like lava/water sponging does, but also for the above blocks.​
