I can see the upside to this, especially for mayors without multi home who want to move stuff over to their new town, however what about everyone who has already paid for a warp - do we refund them? As well, a warp can bring in a significant amount of traffic to your town, from players joining and buying a plot/prebuilt or via shops that you either own yourself or rent out. You could soon make the 50k back. I think for what a warp brings to a town, 50k is a fair price and they shouldn’t be free. Not to mention, it’s money out of the economy. You could always ask a friend/member of staff to come stand in your town for 5 minutes to transfer your stuff across if needed. Whilst I can see the reasoning for, ultimately I would be -1 on this suggestion.
It makes sense for the warp to come later on after you get a town. Usually you want to develop a town before letting people see, during this phase you will plan out where the warp will go and what the first thing the player will see etc. Once you're ready for people to view the town, then you can purchase it and you're set. -1
-1 I actually hate warps for some of my towns. Plus, traditionally, I don’t want a warp in my mayor town since that is meant to be a private town and my President+ towns have the warps. Also, if we do implement this, once there is a warp, I’m sure that warp would need to stay there indefinitely (could be wrong. Never been a GA or have insight to warp protocol), so you’ll be stuck with it whether you like it or not. Plus, if you are basically “required” to place a warp before you even build a town, I’m sure you’ll need to move it later, which would set you back 10k each move.
-1 A Warp is not fundamental to the existence of a town, and the value they provide should be earned. 50,000 is perhaps 2 hours of good farming, not a lot of work. Also, it does remove additional money from the server.
