In Game Name: JdawgerWhat part of EcoCityCraft is this suggestion for: All Main ServersShort title for your suggestion: Magic Tool Reduction IdeaWhat are you suggesting: I am suggesting a Builder+ application similar to the Crate Medal where you can put any three magic tools/items/armor that are /own'd by the applicant in exchange for a god drop to said applicant's accountWhy is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?: There is a lot of magic tools out there since the reset, and while most of them cannot be used unless it is magic day, a good number of them have been selling for relatively cheap (with some of them being sold for less than 50k). There was a suggestion for a magic anvil to try to get rid of these tools, and the community, even if they -1'd that suggestion, agrees there is too many magic tools out there. My only two issues with that magic anvil suggestion was 1.) It heavily benefits those who stockpile these tools by giving them stronger tools (since the suggestion seems more targeted towards them), and 2.) Devalues the already falling /magic market. For this almost counter suggestion, I feel like trading three magic tools for a god drop is a better alternative to try to get rid of some of these tools. There are a few benefits to this suggestion: 1.) It gets rid of two magic tools from the game 2.) It gives the applicant a chance to get a better/stronger tool than the ones they are trading without hurting the economy (as there is still a good chance that the god drop spin will spin a crappy tool) 3.) It still benefits those who stockpile tools, but at least it won't be a direct benefit or give them a distinct advantage 4.) Will increase the value of even the shitty tools as they have a benefit (meaning no more magic tools selling for less than what they can make in 1hr or less) 5.) Retain the already falling /magic market (because, let's be honest, a $400 feature should still have high benefits for those who bought it) 6.) Remove tools at a faster rate than increasing stronger tools 7.) Has the possibility of keeping tool values from dropping to dirt cheap prices as time goes by. The tools will get cheaper regardless as time goes by as more stock is introduced, but at least it will be slower than what we have currently. Other information: Again, this is a counter suggestion to this suggestion https://ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/all-main-servers-suggestion-magic-anvil.215049/ Also, I changed it to three, but it doesn't need to be three And also, the application can have a field asking how many magic tools are being offered so people don’t need to apply multiple times at once.Plugin or custom addition: One suggestion per form: I Understand.
Why would nobody buy those god drops? They are the same god drops as those that people sell after purchasing them from buycraft Also, if I had three shit tools that I don't want or can't sell unless they are dirt cheap, I would redeem them for a chance at a better tool.
I half agree to not buff magic tools, but this isn’t a magic tool buff, but a method to get rid of tools.
People will only use this option if it is profitable. Therefore this suggestion can only have the effect of buffing magic tools, as it allows a new avenue of making profit, without any costs to magic tools overall.
+1 on the idea of swapping a certain number of tools for a new god drop. If we can do this with spawners, we should be able to do it with drops. Why not have the ability to eliminate multiple tools out of the economy for a small chance at a better one. The amount traded for one should definitely be 3+, but that would totally be andrew's discretion. Maybe make it 4.. high risks for chance at high reward. EDIT: I have stopped purchasing god drops mostly because there is only one or two more items I want, but I keep getting worthless duplicates.
+1 the spin on spawners is just as random and the key spins. This gives you a chance...if you have the cash...to redeem your "crap" tools for a chance at a better one. I only have a bow and shears, but I support this idea.
You can now use /magictrade to trade in your extra Magic Tools for GodDrops. https://ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/magic-tools-for-goddrops.215434/#post-1129536
