In Game Name: JdawgerWhat part of EcoCityCraft is this suggestion for: All Main ServersShort title for your suggestion: Magic Pick 6x DiamondsWhat are you suggesting: Just like Gold, Emerald, and Iron ores, make the magic pick drop 6 diamonds per ore consistently (if the ore is not artificially placed, of course)Why is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?: We have it for emeralds, iron, gold, and nether gold, so why not. While diamonds are (technically) worth the most, they are much rarer than iron naturally, so it’s not like it will blow up the market (iron is still going to be the cash ore with this tool)Other information: Again, this is for natural diamond ores and not ones placed by a player.Plugin or custom addition: One suggestion per form: I Understand.
I'm kinda on the fence about whether to make it 6 or not; I feel like Andrew isn't going to want to add more things to magic stuff but at the same time, it does make sense. I have had many incidents where it's only dropped 1 diamond (from both natural genned ores and place ores), which I think is really stupid being as it's supposed to be fortune 4. I don't think I've ever seen my normal fortune 3 pickaxe give me 1 diamond from a diamond ore, so getting 1 from an even higher fortune is tilting. If anything I just want the 1 diamond drops to stop happening. Edit: I have actually just looked into this because I was about to edit and say that I understand fortune 4 is just a chance of giving more diamonds, but the Minecraft wiki actually says this: "Fortune III gives a 20% chance (each) to give 2, 3, or 4 diamonds, averaging 2.2 diamonds." Obviously, fortune 4 doesn't exist in vanilla Minecraft so there's no % to go by but I'd say fortune 4 shouldn't be giving 1 diamond.
I agree with this statement. I mostly chose 6 diamonds to keep in theme with the magic pick (as the other four ores drop 6 consistently). I'm not opposed to make it 4, but I don't think it should be any lower than 4.
I think changing the way fortune works on it.. or changing it to 3 diamonds for the "fortune 4" part of it maybe... but think 6 diamonds would be overkill,
