In Game Name: TheCravedOneWhat part of EcoCityCraft is this suggestion for: All Main ServersShort title for your suggestion: Daily Quests - Just too muchWhat are you suggesting: Tweaking the quest numbers to be more of a daily challenge than a whole day grind. Ie. “Break 256 ores” instead of over 2000. The old numbers were okay but even sometimes the 512 and 1024 ores got to be too much. I’m suggesting we make daily quests more passive. Why is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?: Prestige’s on ecc are supposed to be fun and occasionally intense. Not masochistic.Other information: As someone who considers themselves a heavy grinder I genuinely don’t believe the daily quests current direction is very “fun” or enjoyable, There’s days where I’ve spent over 6 hours on daily quests and that was before the ore and a few others increased within the past few days. Dailies aren’t supposed to be anything crazy, something on the side that we do over time. Not a major grind that takes our whole session. I feel there’s much better ways to implement this new system that we all can enjoy. I see so much potential here it’s just untapped right now.Plugin or custom addition: Jobs PluginOne suggestion per form: I Understand.
+1 just got quests for 2048 deep slate Redstone ore AND deepslate gold ore. the 1024 quests were already taking 2+ hours for me to do, just for a "daily"
The higher the ore count the less points you get as well. It's really backwards. It's pretty often that I think doing 512+ ones is just not worth it because you get like 25% more points for 100% more work. Let alone doing a 2048 one that only gives 100 points. (Which is less than the 1024 one???)
+1 2048 of a single ore in a day is insane. I rarely if ever did the 512 or 1024 daily quests, no shot I'm spending all my time that day mining 2048 of one ore to complete one daily quest. I'd rather see ore quests max out at like 256 but worth lower points. That way I feel like I can complete it without spending my entire evening working on 1 quest. If we have to increase the number of quests that need to be completed for prestige so be it, but at least that way we can actively make progress rather than being completely not interested in spending hours trying to mine an insane number of a single ore. This logic applies to other recently changed quests as well, such as the glowstone one. Mining 128 for 75 points every day may have been too easy, but frankly I'm not spending the time flying around breaking 1024 glowstone for 100 quest points, especially without a tool that breaks glowstone instantly. I'd rather go spend the ECD to buy wool and 10 minutes crafting the banners and beds for the same points.
+1 this system needs a lot more consideration as to the points being awarded as the scale goes up. It makes zero sense to go from 128 broken blocks to 1024 broken blocks and only award an additional 25 points. Having the amount of blocks broken scale exponentially and then the points awarded scale linearly makes no sense. The quests prestige isn’t supposed to be easy I understand that but realistically how many hours should it take for someone to achieve a prestige? The current timeline is far too difficult.
I have made more adjustments to the quests, mostly drawing back some of the numbers I put in and adjusting point scaling. I am actively working on balancing quests to fit in with our expectations of the prestige effort and time. You'll need to be patient while I work through that and yes there will be occasional wonky things. Will continue to monitor and adjust as needed.
