Very good idea. And let me add:

• STRONGLY advertise squid in the greeting message every time you connect to the server if you didn't connect using squid;
• start rewarding users for using squid ASAP.

It's crucial that we turn as many people as possible into using squid before we are blacklisted, because after that, it will be much more difficult: one obvious example of this is that we would have one channel less to tell people to use squid, namely the server itself (as it will be unreachable by then).

Squid should be priority #1 imho (if it's not already).
