I have a request to make and it's going to be a giant pain in the patootie. I recently purchased a spawn shop from Jbuks and attempted to move my current shop into the new location I bought. Shortly thereafter, my gaming partner did the same. For the both of us this was a totally miserable, confusing and time consuming mess. There seems to be no formal instructions or application form to transfer a shop when you already own one! If someone on the wiki team would consider creating an explanation or set of rules or application on how to do this properly I think several people will be terribly grateful! No moderator or even super mod seemed to have on clue on how to do it either. There are several points of confusion, most especially on who should have the cash to pay for rent upon transfer. Having suffered thru this twice it appears (not sure, but it seems) to require the seller to have the money for rent, NOT the buyer.. but heck if I know for certain. I would bet that WeWin would also be grateful as it must have taken 3-4 posts before either of us finally got it right and I feel sure I annoyed the very devil out of him... Sadly, neither of us have any idea how we got it right, we just kept trying until it was accepted. Anyway, if someone is feeling a lot of compassion towards transfer sufferers and would throw together some info on the proper way to do it I would be Very Very grateful! Hello Rheasmom, While it many not be the most clear thing ever written, the process for transferring a spawnshop is listed in the wiki (found here), and the application does have a question dedicated for the transfer if that is the goal of the application. The current owner of the spawnshop needs to have the money in their balance, and be the user that submits the application to get the shop transferred to the user that would like to obtain the shop. In the spoiler I highlighted the questions in the Spawnshop application that pertain directly to the transfer of a shop. If you bought a vacant Spawnshop, you most likely answerd "n/a" to two of the three I highlighted. Spoiler IGN: Do you have the applicable cost in your balance: How did you make the funds for this application. (Lying will result in a ban): Have you read the trade-shop building rules?: Which station would you like your Trade Shop to be located at: If that one is taken what is choice#2?: If that one is taken what is choice#3?: Check availability here: Thread Is this a new trade-shop / relocating to a new one / adding time to an existing one / or giving to another user: If giving to another user - which one is receiving it?: If giving to another user or relocating to a new shop - have you cleared out this shop for transfer?: How many weeks are you ordering? (Minimum 4 / Maximum 10): The ServerAdmins handle applications once every 1-7 days. (Meaning once a week) Asking constantly about your application does not speed up the process. We very well can see there are outstanding applications and handle them every few days. As well after payment has been taken your changes are not instant, please wait patiently as they are applied. All users must be aware they will be fined for an improper application. Take extra care when applying for various server features. As for if the wiki team would like to write a guide to clears things up further, or change the wording of the page to make it more clear; that is up to a wiki team member to decide. I myself would like to see the page expanded a bit more to explain it better, as this is is a common place of confusion for users.
Thank you General!! We did try that, but there seems to be a need for more information, specifically, the person who is buying the shop must also post somewhere with some unspecified information. Somehow these 2 posts must be linked tho I believe if the buyer posts in the same thread as the seller that is sufficient. It is unclear exactly what information the buyer needs to post, including cash (if any). I think the buyer must simultaneously resign the location he is currently occupying and clean out his shop while requesting to transfer his shop to the new location he has purchased. I guess what is needed is a form for the person buying the shop to fill out and specific information required and/or funds necessary and where to actually post it firmly explained.
