/me watches as everyone scrambles and fights for towns (Andrew himself apparently was talking about it in-game.)

 

I really like the idea, to claim the town the user must be offline for at least 4 months, the person who claims the town is the sole owner and is classified as the original owner. This means that they can apply for town portals and pvp arenas etc etc.

 

But how would you know that the player has been offline for 4 months since their .dat file would probably have been deleted and you wouldn't be able to tell how long they have been offline.

 

Unless someone can find a thread/post by andrewkm stating this, and link to it, I would not believe it. This is how mass panic gets started.

 

I can confirm that this did happen this morning around 6 EST, however, I am not fond of the idea of reclaiming towns.

 

I am sure you meant EDT . EST won't be in usage for another 2 weeks.

Back to the point. Even if Andrew said it in-game, I wouldn't believe it until he posts it. He has been known to troll in-game with wild statements all the time. He has a funny sense of humor watching all the ants/cows/potatoes run around in circles.

 

Mhhm, I did not mean to say that this was a real thing that was going to be implemented, however, he did say it ingame.

I heard it was said in Donator chat. Generally his goofing around is in Global and shouts, and he makes it clear that he is goofing around. However, from what I've heard from people who saw him talking about it, he was being serious. Andrew doesn't really say things seriously but not mean them (goofing, trolling, etc).

And I am not a huge fan of the idea either, but I am not against it. Just worried it will become a mess when it comes to checking true inactivity, if there are fees or not (I hope there's a fee to reclaim), etc.

 

Me too, if there is no fee to reclaim I am 100% against this.

 

I would hope this applies to allowing users who sell their towns to other users would have the right to claim full ownership even possibly through a contract with a fee of course or something even maybe an app, which then would allow for the addition of pvp, portals ect. as well.

 

The fee is 500k for Tycoon, 1000k for ecoleader and 2500k for ecomaster.
