#1. Do not allow builders to participate in the lottery. Allowing clueless newbies to participate just moves money from those that need it the most to get going to those that need it far less. #2 Allow us to ignore lottery. I can't block it even after donating, Not sure how much work this would take to implement, but I have seen several others ask how to do it. I have found no way to do so if there is one. #3 Do not allow Builders into PvP zones. This feels like a no-brainer. It stops people from preying on the obviously weak, especially in the use of teleports. If they want to PvP they can earn it. Thanks.
From your suggestion I can assume two things. 1. You played lottery and lost. 2. You went into pvp and got killed. There’s no reason to limit these activities for others because they ill affected you. Our users can decide for themselves if they want to take the risk of participating in these activities.
Me? I'm smart enough to know the lottery is a tax on those people who are bad at math. And was I killed in pvP? Yes, yesterday someone said they wanted to buy something, offered me a TP and killed me, for a loss of 60k worth of my stuff. Did I pvp by informed choice? Nope. And FYI you are "presuming" not "assuming".
Well i'm going to break it down for you... #1. The reason the Lottery is here is for that the money on the server is always flowing. Lottery is optional, it doesn't force ANYONE at ANYTIME to have to enter the lottery, this includes builders, I've seen builders win tons of lotteries, not all builders are "Newbies" so are very smart with their money. Although, if they're not, then they play the lottery, and either win or lose. It isn't fair to exclude those who enjoy the lottery for those who don't like it. #2. How to ignore lottery? Just ignore it, no one forces you to pay attention to it, it's your choice, not anyone elses. #3. This server and it's staff believe in everything being as equal as possible, meaning allowing Builders to PvP is fair, not allowing them in not. Many get smocked by builders all the time, there's no advantage; if again, you're smart of what you do.
With that thinking how about we just remove all the /ignore options from the server? You're looking at the way things are and just figuring they should stay that way. I have the feeling no matter what suggestion I made most people here would shoot it down just to be argumentative.
I'm not saying it just to be argumentative, i'm saying what I said because I believe that they just wouldn't be a good idea. Excluding people just because of their rank, isn't right, want to ignore the lottery? Ignore it.
I think lasivian meant a way to leave the channel. Its nearly impossible to read your chat during those last 10 seconds when everyone is buying tickets
