If I had an eff4 pickaxe and I wanted eff5, which sign would I choose? Do I have to do the eff5 sign? Are you able to add up the enchants? ex. buy eff1 for your pick, then buy eff1 again to make it eff2. Then add another eff1 to make it eff3. Is this the same system as anvils pretty much? I've never used an anvil so I wouldn't know. Thanks for any help!
you could do 2 things, buy 2 eff3 picks, anvil them to be an eff4 and then anvil that into an eff5, or click on the eff5 enchant sign. You're without a doubt cheaper off doing the first. To upgrade your tool with the enchant signs you pay the full price of said enchant. Even if you already have eff4 on your tool.
