Everybody knew that they were staged, and that the real meetings had happened an hour before in the privacy of a sealed room. I'm sure that letting the press hear them squabble like children would bring about a national panic, especially in a situation like this, but I was just happy that they had let me observe. I had finally been invited into the inner sanctum. I looked around the busy room, my eyes inspecting the long, central table. 12 colonies... two seats empty. Tauron and Caprica; no surprises there. The president was always the last to arrive. I don't know whether it was intended to go that way, to give some kind of satisfaction to his power complex, to have the whole room waiting on him, or whether he was just always late. And Caprica... well, that was the reason we were here after all. At that moment the doors opened, and through it came two figures. The president, leading the way through the crowds... but who was that behind him? As she got closer, her face became familiar. Priyan Magnus; Caprica's public relations officer. Miss Magnus had always been a controversial figure in Caprica politics - not just because she wasn't Caprican, but because even more extraordinarily, she was from Saggitaron. As Miss Magnus made her seat, the room fell silent, and the president took the floor. "Thank you for coming today ladies and gentlemen. As you all know, this meeting's topic is the disappearance of Caprica's Quorum Delegate, @outerlocal. Now that everybody has arrived, let us begin..." - Private notes of Rachel Blake, Reporter for The Caprican Chronicle.
