I was farming and one minute it was there, the next it was gone. I didn't spend it and can't figure out what happened. Can you check the logs? This happened about 10 minutes ago from this post. Thanks, DH

Nope, didn't buy anything. Literally, I was farming wheat and I had 143K. I use the macro plug-in and have my balance displayed on-screen all the time. It suddenly dropped to 63K.
Sometimes with the macro balance display, it can mess up sometimes. The other day my macro bal display said I had 50k, but when when I did /bal it updated to 20k (It might have just updated itself to your true balance if the macro detected a sudden change in your balance, such as if you just did /sell hand on the wheat). That is possibly what could have happened to your money
Thanks for the reply. The first thing I did was /bal and it too shows 63K. Your suggestion gave me an idea though. I loaded the game without the macro mod to see if it was somehow affecting it. But /bal still showed the 80K loss.
According to nicit, you have never had over 80k in your balance. This is an issue with the macro, not us.
The best way to avoid this would be to set macro to ECHO /bal when you log in. I'm betting that something threw it off somewhere - like loading improperly.
Thanks for looking at this. I'm trying to remember for sure if I did /bal lately and saw the 143K balance. I think I did, but what you're saying is that there's no way I ever did a /bal and saw over 80K correct?
Thanks for checking this. Here's an interesting detail that I didn't think to bring up but now because it happened on Sep. 17, but now it seems very relevant. There was a player @cartoonr who was quitting the server the evening of Sep. 17. He gave me some enchanted tools and around 80K. It was a very unexpected development. At the time I had around 60K and was saving for Mayor. This of course put me over the top and I applied the next day, Sep. 18. Ever since then my balance on the macro display has shown 140K+. @JamieSinn said my balance never showed over 80K. On Sep. 18 I applied for and received Mayor status. So I must have had at least 85K at that time for the application. When @cartoonr gave me that cash I'm sure I had 140K. Now that I've written this all out it's obvious to me that having applied for Mayor, 85K was taken from my account at that time for the application and I don't think the macro balance display ever reflected that payment. It's not beyond imagination that I never noticed that because I'm an old guy slowly losing my mind as I raise children. Thanks for the tip about the ECHO /bal on login that's a really good idea. TL;DR My balance is now accurate and I did not notice the macro display never registered my payment for Mayor application until it changed last night.
Yep that'd do it. There would be no way for it to tell that your balance was lower as it wouldn't have seen the message about the money being taken.
